Evolutions Pathway
The 10 week Evolutions Technical Pathway explores the use of technological and digital tools in the context of the illustration discipline. Students blur the boundary between physical and digital forms by making and manipulating 3D scans, building immersive spaces using VR and AR technologies, experience physical computing tools to incorporate sound, movement, generative visuals and much more. This pathway prepares students to embark on a journey to invent the future of illustration practices.

The Evolutions Pathway sessions aim to provide students with:

• an aligned series of focussed inductions introducing emerging technologies, related processes and supporting resources
• skills and knowledge to develop project work in the context of shifting digital landscapes
• explore personal source material (image, object, artefact) using processes and technologies to further the collection of visual material
• a space for conversations and support for making.

Workshops
Previous workshops have included 3D scanning using Qlone and Scaniverse, Gravity Sketch VR Drawing App training with the Gravity Sketch Team, Processing with Marius Simkus, 3D Printing, AR Workshops with Rice Box Studio using Artivive and SparkAR, 3D Web environment building using Frame VR, Introductions to Blender, Arduino and Conductive Ink drawing workshops.
